Aerocom History
Aerocom Metals started in 2008 as a distributor of high strength alloy tubing to the UK motorsport industry. Within two years, the business had been accredited to aerospace series standard AS9120, and had expanded its range of high strength alloy tubing to included British Standard T45 and Aerospace Material Specification (AMS) 4130.
Today, Aerocom Metals has over 2000 customers in 40 countries, in-house processing for plate tube sheet and bar and over £1,000,000 inventory in aerospace AMS, QQA, QQS, WWT, MIL, WERKSTOFF, AFNOR and BS materials. Our approvals included global aerospace OEM's in the aerospace, space, defence, motorsport, medical and high precision engineering industries.
As of 2023, Aerocom boasts one of the largest ranges of aerospace sheet products in AMS QQA BS L and OEM standards. In aluminium we now stock 1000# 2000# 3000# 4000# 5000# 6000# & 7000# series in a variety of tempers from AMS-QQ-A standards to BS L standards such as L165 L166 and L167. In stainless steel we cover a full range of 300# austenitic grades as well as PH grades like 17/4 17/7 & 15/5. Our alloy steels include 4130 in both annealed and normalised, and British Standard S515. Finally our nickel alloy 625 range runs 0.032" (0.81mm) to 0.125" (3.175mm) but we also hold a full range of tube in nickel alloy 625 AMS5581 running OD sizes 0.500" (12.7mm) through 4.000" (101.6mm).
During early 2023, Aerocom Metals invested £300,000 into infrastructural development of a sister site to control all processing of sheet product. The fit out included a 224 location cassette system for sheet storage allowing a stocking capacity of 224 ton of material.
