About the TMS60 series

TMS60 shape numbers are a widely used reference for aerospace aluminium extrusion profiles. Each TMS60 number identifies an exact die cross-section and can be cross-referenced to OEM drawing numbers from manufacturers such as Boeing, Airbus and Canadair, making it a convenient way to source the same profile from approved extruders.

Choosing an alloy for TMS60-20019

2024 is a high-strength aluminium-copper alloy with excellent fatigue resistance, widely used for fuselage stringers, frames and wing structure, usually supplied as 2024-T3511. 7075 is one of the strongest aluminium alloys, used for highly stressed structural parts; 7075-T73511 offers improved resistance to stress corrosion cracking. 6061 combines good strength with excellent corrosion resistance and weldability, making it a common choice for secondary structure and interiors. Read more in our 2024, 7075 and 6061 guides.
